Jacob Bradbury

Method Actor/ Improv

Jacob is very excited to join the Performing Arts Group Family. He is a Corner Brook native and has been on stage for most of his professional life. He is a graduate of the Grenfell Theatre program with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and spent a year at the prodigious Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City. He is a method actor with expansive knowledge of Shakespeare, Improv, Clowning and so much more. He is ecstatic to inspire young upcoming actors in the St. John’s Area in cooperation with the talented Patricia Andrews and the Performing Arts Group.

He looks forward to starting up some Master Classes in the near future such as an acting class, focusing on Method Techniques and Character Development for the stage and screen. He will also be doing a two week Shakespeare intensive as well as a clowning/improv class. Some examples of Jacob’s extensive work onstage include: Mike, Cherry Docs Off Broadway Players, Puck Benjamin Briton’s Midsummer Nights Dream Opera on The Avelon, Jude Shannon Trainor, Joel Thomas Hynes’ Say Nothing Saw Wood, Soldier, Sarah Kane’s Blasted and so much more. Jacob looks forward to teaching and getting to know all of the talent that is the Performing Arts Group.

Janet Cull

Singer/ Actor

Janet Cull is enigmatic. She’s a firecracker, a force to be reckoned with. She has boundless energy, and limitless talent. Her voice is warm and inviting, timeless, smooth, and maybe just a little bit dirty. Just like frigid Northern air, she is edgy, dramatic and larger than the everyday.

Janet Cull has 2 previous award-winning albums to her credit. The first album with the "Janet Cull Band" (MusicNL ‘Group of the Year’, ‘Album of the Year’, and ‘Galaxie Rising Star -2004); the second, "People Get Ready", her 2007 release with Kelly-Ann Evans, which earned her an ECMA nomination.

Janet Cull has performed in local musicals as a principal singer/actor (“Hair”, “Cats”, “DIVAS do…”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”), and additionally toured the province each year with the series of sold-out shows, she has co-produced herself: “FOREVER 27”, “Lowe Profile”, “ABBA”, “Fleetwood Mac”, “The Women of Motown”, “Tina Turner” and more.

Martine Blue

Film Maker/ Director

Martine Blue is a multi award-winning writer, director, editor and producer. She began filmmaking with a do-it-yourself approach, working as a one-woman crew, performing most of the technical jobs herself, including the cinematography, lighting, editing and paying for the production out of pocket. Since relocating to Newfoundland and Labrador in 2008, the scope of her crews and budgets have significantly increased and she moved into the realm of features with Hunting Pignut, the million dollar Telefilm and NFLDC funded production she wrote, directed and edited. She is currently the webisode writer/director for the French TV show Hors Circuits 2.

Her films have screened in festivals across the country, internationally, have been broadcast on The Sundance Channel, CBC, Moviola and have received distribution deals. She has won numerous awards for her work including Best First Feature at the Arizona International Film Festival, and three Audience Choice Awards. Martine’s most recent films, the gritty, dramatic feature film Hunting Pignut and the short dramatic-comedic fantasy The Perfect Family, are currently touring the international film festival circuit.

Martine’s technical/creative skills as a shooter and editor lead her into journalism where she freelanced as a video journalist/reporter for CBC News, St. John’s for seven years and has shot footage for Daily Planet – Discovery Channel, The Cancer Society, Novartis and for several corporate and charitable campaigns.

With viral videos approaching 6 million hits between them on Youtube, Martine understands and appreciates the web world and the vital importance of reaching and affecting audiences through social media as well as through conventional outlets.

Martine is passionate about telling stories, brainstorming ideas, working with a team and creating dynamic work that entertains and resonates. She also loves inspiring the next generation and is very excited to share her knowledge and skills with the talented budding young filmmakers of Camp Hollywood.
